Biography

Ethel has a B.Sc in Biochemistry from the University of Ghana.  In 2009 she joined VIDO-InterVac as started work on her Master’s degree in Microbiology and Immunology under the supervision of Dr. Sylvia van den Hurk.  Ethel’s passion to change the world around her is prompting her to study public health issues, in particular the impact of vaccines on major tropical diseases.  As part of this she looks forward to studying immunological responses to vaccines, improving  the efficacy of existing vaccines and developing new vaccines.
