Biography
Dr. Joyce Wilson is the project leader of the Hepatitis C virus-host interactions group. Her research focuses on replication and pathogenesis of Hepatitis C Virus in human liver cells. In particular, how the virus interacts with host proteins that are involved in RNA interference and miRNA pathways, including Argonaute and Dicer. We are using this information to develop mouse models for HCV replication. She received both her MSc and PhD at Queen's University. She is also an Assistant Professor at Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Saskatchewan.
