Biography
Shirley joined VIDO in November 2008 as VIDO's Corporate Communications Manager, with over 25 years of laboratory management and regulatory experience working within Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). She also gained quality management experience working the Standards Council of Canada as a lead assessor within their Program for the Accredition of Laboratories in Canada (PALCAN).
Shirley's skills in communication and coordination of multidisciplinary teams have been recognized with several awards including the CFIA President's National Award for Recognition of Outstanding Service and the Government of Canada's Head of Public Service Award for Excellence in Service Delivery.
