Biography
Sonja obtained her PhD in Microbiology from the University of Wuerzburg (Germany), and joined VIDO in January 2008 as a post-doctoral fellow under the supervision of Dr. Andrew Potter and Dr. Brenda Allan.
In 2010 Sonja has been awarded a Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship Award by the Saskatchewan Health Research Foundation to develop a vaccine against Campylobacter jejuni in broiler chickens.
Sonja's research interests include infectious diseases, bacterial pathogenesis and vaccine development.
