Biography
Tracey came to VIDO from the Department of Anatomy & Cell Biology, where she supervised a large CL2 lab. Prior to that, Tracey was at the Department of Animal and Poultry Science where she earned an MSc in Animal Genetics, and worked for 8 years as research technician in beef genetics.
As Biosafety Officer, Tracey is currently writing standard operating procedures (SOPs) that will make up the InterVac Biosafety Manual. She will also be involved with testing and commissioning of the building as it takes place over the next year, and once certified, she will help ensure that it continues to meet federal containment standards and passes annual re-certification. Tracey will be providing safety training and orientation to personnel who are joining InterVac.
