Biography
A Certified Management Accountant, Carol Martel has brought expertise in project management and cost accounting to VIDO's Senior Management Team. In addition to her role as VIDO's Chief Financial Officer, Carol is active within the University of Saskatchewan community, as a member of the Internal Control Finance Group, the Pensions Committee and the VIDO/InterVac Finance Group. She is also currently the Acting Financial Officer for Pan-Provincial Vaccine Enterprise Inc. (PREVENT).
Prior to joining VIDO in 1993, Carol worked as a private consultant and gained extensive experience in financial forecasting and establishing computerized warehousing systems and controls for a diverse set of clients. Much of Carol's accounting and management expertise was developed during a ten year period with Deloitte and Touche. As the manager of their Small Business Advisory Group, Carol managed the team that provided accounting, computerization and financial forecasting services to small businesses and professionals
