Collaborating for Research Success
VIDO-InterVac is open to researchers, academic teams and commercial partners from around the world and regularly hosts visiting scientists and participates in sabbatical arrangements. In addition to using our state-of-the-art facilities, visiting scientist are able to work and benefit from our interdisciplinary team. VIDO-InterVac scientists have expertise in numerous scientific disciplines including molecular biology, virology, immunology, bacteriology, biochemistry, epidemiology, and veterinary medicine.
VIDO-InterVac is part of the dynamic bioscience cluster in Saskatoon, Canada, that encompasses:
- The University of Saskatchewan Colleges of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy & Nutrition, the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, and the School of Public Health
- Innovation Place, a science and technology park situated adjacent to the University
- The Canadian Light Source, Canada’s only synchrotron, and the Saskatchewan Research Council, National Research Council, and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada research institutes
Through collaboration we have developed linkages with a range of Canadian and international universities, research institutes and governments. This network of partnerships has reshaped infectious disease and vaccine research and enhanced worldwide preparedness against infectious diseases.
