The 2010 Gairdner International Vaccine Symposium: COMMON INTERFACE between Animal and Human Health
THURSDAY OCTOBER 21 and FRIDAY OCTOBER 22, 2010
The Gairdner Foundation and the Vaccine and Infectious Disease Organization of the University of Saskatchewan will be co-hosting a one and a half day symposium on October 21-22, 2010 to explore the linkages between animal infections and human disease.
This event will examine social, scientific and economics impacts of infectious diseases of animals and humans and will include a broad spectrum of internationally recognized scientists.
Topics to be discussed will include: emerging viral and bacterial infections that cross the boundaries between humans and animals; novel approaches for preventing prion diseases; advances in Hepatitis C research, ethical and social issues of vaccines, to name but a few.
Conference program and registration
The symposium includes presentations in three sessions (Thursday morning and afternoon, Friday morning), and dinner and presentations on Thursday evening. Click here for preliminary program details.
