Chair of VIDO advisory board recognized for contribution to cattle industry

Brian Perkins of Perkins Ag Marketing Inc. (Saskatoon, Sask.) and chair of the VIDO Advisory Board, has been named the 2007 Cattle Feeder of the Year by the Saskatchewan Cattle Feeders Association (SCFA). The SCFA board of directors selects the recipient of this award in recognition of outstanding contributions and dedication to the cattle feeding industry in Saskatchewan.

The award recognizes a recipient who has devoted time and effort to enhancing Saskatchewan’s cattle feeding industry through avenues such as representation on committees and boards, contribution of technical and management information, and involvement with the SCFA and other organizations in order to further the cattle industry.

The announcement was made at the recent SCFA annual general meeting. Past recipients of the award include Brad Wildeman of Pound-maker Agventures Ltd. (Lanigan, Sask.), who is a past chair of the VIDO Advisory Board.
