The Beef Technical Group was formed in 2001 following considerable consultation with beef industry representatives across the country. The Group is comprised of industry leaders from across Canada and VIDO scientists. Members are charged with addressing key issues based on their individual expertise to add value to cattle producers in practical ways.

The first project of the VIDO Beef Technical Group - Vaccination Guidelines, completed in March 2004 - outlines the safe and appropriate use of vaccines and illustrates their limitations.
