Dr. Carla Norleen earned her Animal Health Technology Diploma from Lakeland College in 2006 and began her career as a registered veterinary technician in mixed animal practice in rural Saskatchewan. During this time she gained valuable experience working with a wide range of species, including bison and alpacas.

Dr. Norleen graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. She practiced small animal medicine and served as a part time veterinarian for Poultry Extension, expanding her expertise across both clinical and production animal setting. 

In 2020, she joined VIDO as a Clinical Veterinarian and moved into the role of Associate Program Manager in 2024.
